I'm really excited about this upcoming
Patchwork Show in Long Beach on May 25th, 2014. I'll be there for sure. I am looking forward to checking out all the awesome vendors, food and music. I'll also have my own Wood Brain booth there! It's the first time I'll be a vendor at this show and I plan to design and built my own unique booth. I'll have a variety of my products for sell at the show including my exotic wood flasks and wooden jewelry.

what is patchwork show?
patchwork show is a bi-annual, modern handmade festival showcasing local emerging artists, crafters & designers. with products ranging across the board, each event celebrates handmade and regional producers—90% of the vendors at our shows are from the immediate region, and 99% within the same state. patchwork also highlights local food producers, musicians and voices in the handmade movement with interactive programming, book signings and discussions at each festival.
each event aims to connect makers directly to consumers, educate the public on the art of making and creating and to foster a stronger, more sustainable local economy. our festivals embrace a sincere and authentic community marketplace giving startups and micro-businesses a chance to engage and succeed.
what’s unique about your long beach events?
long beach patchwork show is located on the water’s edge at marine stadium at the boat slip off appian way. this very pet-friendly event is the perfect spot for an afternoon with your 4-legged friend and it is also very popular with cyclists.
since our start in long beach, we have been proudly partnering with we love long beach and have since collaborated with local long beach favorites viento y agua café, the bicycle stand, blue windows, {open} books, fingerprints, native soul and other popular local businesses.
what can i expect to see & do at this modern handmade festival?
over 100 local vendors selling diverse handmade goods (

who runs patchwork show?
patchwork show founders, delilah snell and nicole stevenson produce events focusing on their strong convictions of empowering others with the skills and a forum to create and make a living making.
the aunt-and-niece team has firm ties to and a passion for the handmade craft and artisan food movement as well as encouraging small local businesses. they also produce
craftcation: conference for creative makers & write about craft, food, small business and their adventures on their blog,
dear handmade life. delilah and nicole have been featured in bust magazine, the los angeles times, nbc, the orange county register, the oc weekly, apartment therapy, orange coast magazine, make magazine and the ventura county star.
delilah snell is a master food preserver, award winning lecturer on environmental education and food sustainability and owner of
the road less traveled store, a modern natural living and community education shop in santa ana, ca. a staunch supporter of the local food movement, delilah has worked closely with several local farms, non-profits and community groups in marketing, product development and event planning since 1998. delilah has been featured in sunset magazine, the los angeles times, grist and on the fine living network, nbc and kcrw.

nicole stevenson is a diy workshop instructor, illustrator and small business consultant. her path includes time as a street artist on the venice beach boardwalk, founding a non-profit that produced art shows for charities and creating
random nicole a line of art-inspired clothing that was carried at over 250 locations worldwide. she has been featured in daily candy, riviera, papercrafts magazine, the oc weekly, craftstylish and oh my handmade goodness. she has a ba and ma in creative writing and is currently finishing an mfa and working on a non-fiction book about her crafty adventures.
